Michael Nark has held the position of CEO and Executive Director since September 2013. Michael brings over 25 years of experience in software and technology-enabled service delivery businesses. He recently served as President and CEO of Power Analytics. He has a proven track record of building successful, efficient organisations and experience in leading companies to profitable growth. Prior to Power Analytics he was President and CEO of Prenova, an energy management services provider to the C&I marketplace, where he led the business to triple digit growth. Prior to Prenova, he served as President and CEO of GEOCOMtms, a fleet management software provider to the oil and gas industry. Michael holds a B.S. in Applied Sciences from Miami University.
H. William Deane
Interim Chair / Non-Executive Director
William has been a Director of BuildingIQ since October 2012 and has been a director of BuildingIQ Pty Ltd since its formation in 2009. William is a Managing Director of Exto Partners Pty Ltd, a private investment firm based in Sydney. He has successfully managed IPOs, mergers and acquisitions for Exto’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Exto Partners, William was a corporate lawyer in New York with Sidley Austin LLP and Skadden, Arp, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP, and in Australia with Ashursts (formerly Blake Dawson Waldron). He advised domestic and international corporations on capital raising, stock exchange listing (NYSE, NASDAQ and ASX), mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. William was admitted to practice law in Victoria, Australia and New York, USA and has an L.L.B. (hons) from Bond University 1995 and a B.A (hons) from the University of Sydney 1992. William is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Non-executive Director of RedHill Education (RDH : ASX) and chair of its Audit and Risk Committee.
Gerd joined the Board of BuildingIQ in December 2012 and is the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee and the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Nominations Committee.
Gerd is a seasoned venture capital investor, board member and strategic advisor with deep domain expertise in energy, transportation, and the built environment. He is the Managing Director of Lupine Growth Advisors, an advisory helping start-ups navigate the growth challenges from minimum viable product to tens of millions in revenue. Gerd serves on the board of directors of Sunverge Energy and Zen Ecosystem; he also serves on the Investor Advisory Board of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Previously, Gerd spent 18 years at Siemens Venture Capital, where as a Managing Partner he was the global head of the energy practice.
Gregory Pynt joined the Board of BuildingIQ in December 2019 and is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee and Remuneration Committee.
Greg is a highly experienced corporate financial adviser and business man, with over 40 years’ professional experience.
Greg is currently an independent consultant offering services and advice to companies needing capital.
Greg commenced his career at BHP as a commercial cadet before working in a number of accounting and general management roles in public companies. When Greg moved into merchant banking, he was involved in capital raisings and IPOs, including significant roles in many of the Government floats such as Qantas and Telstra.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the UNSW and a MBA. He also is currently on the board of VeroGuard Systems Holdings Limited (an unlisted public company).
